I'm having this since applying the beta patch:

Does it occur all the time?
Even after restarting the game?

I would sometimes see this when I ran the original WITP in windowed mode. Restarting the game would always fix it. In TheTomDude's screenshoot, there is also a tiny graphical glitch in the upper lefthand corner.

I think it is a graphic drawing thing - like the image didn't load properly on start up.

As you say, switching mode can sometimes refresh it.

I had it only after patching yesterday. Did not try a restart since. But I'll report back when I come home tonight if the restart worked.
