Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

questions

Post by Marty A »

I am sure the answers are buried somewhere in here but have no idea how to dig them out. I just noticed this forum and figured I would ask.

I have these old games, but have no been able to effectively play them. Yes, I got them back in the win 95/98 era. This machine is an XP and the problem I have is the game runs too fast to be able to react to incoming strikes. Now I have to assume that this problem was addressed and fixed somewhere along the line (I have no patches as the games are not even currently installed as of now). Just wondering.

Welcome to the Matrix BTR BOB Forum [8D]

If you look up on the top of this forum page there is a section that has some patches you can download for the Original BTR game by Talonsoft.

To enable your machine to run the game properly you need to enable the appropriate "Compatability" mode to run this game. That can be accessed through your Properties of you machine. Set it to run Win 98 compatibility. I run Windows XP Pro and have no problem.

You may also have the Game Time setting set to the maximum which will race along at break neck speed. Not sure if that is the issue you are seeing.

I would recommend downloading an old manual. I believe that there is one somewhere linked in here. I cant recall exactly where but I believe there are a couple posts about Manuals. Check in them.

At any rate I would suspect that Matrix will be releaseing their upgraded version within a few months or so and I know they will have all the documentation needed to really get into this beauty.

Hope I have helped you some.

Later,
KayBay
