Mega Campaign North Africa

Post by caribcat »

Hi all,

I am taking a break from the Caribbean :( to spend a few days at my house, in Florida, where hopefully my first Megacampaign is waiting for me.:D

I am a regular visitor to the forums but I am a little confused as to what patches I need to apply to bring MCNA up to speed. Can anybody tell me what I need to do, so as I get the best gaming experience?:)

Thanks

Unfortunately, when you install MCNA your going to move your SPWAW version backwards to ver 5.1 or 5.3 depending on the copy you receive. So your going to have to patch back up to ver 7.1, if you have LV or WT this will be easier. Just install one of them again (full install) and it will bring you back up to 7.0 then patch to 7.1. There is 1 patch for MCNA that doens't effect gameplay, it just enhances the experience with some improved icons and a scenario was redone making it actually possible to win at it. Let me know your intentions and what you have available to you so I can talk you through it.:D

Hi Gmenfan,

Thanks for the response.

My Florida home computer does not have SPWAW installed. So what would I need to do to upgrade MCNA there?

If I bring MCNA back to the BVI, I have SPWAW patched to 7.1 on a P4. Can I install MCNA into a different directory on this machine and then upgrade?

Alternatively, I also have an older P3 computer, which only has the 3.2 SPWAW version installed. Would it be preferable to install MCNA to this machine and then upgrade?

Looking forward to your further response.:)
