Last night, while working on the Tarawa Campaign (nodes 3 & 4 giving me some small problems still
1. The units have been re-arranged. Some of the Char B1's of the 28th BCC are now closer to the initial German push and are therefore far more vulnerable.
2. The Germans have a artillery bombardment on some of the assembly sights...just to daze and confuse the French units milling about...though some of them can cause some real havoc if they fall just right!
3. The French tanks have a lower amount of ammo...to make up for the fact that many of them were still low on fuel and to even out the apparent firepower difference.
4. Lowered the French morale a bit on some of the units...to represent the fact that many of the French units were beginning to feel the effect of seeing fleeing civilians and military personnel as they marched to the front.
4. The victory hex points have been adjusted...so as to even out the playing field. ( I forgot that the Germans would not get as many points for killing off crews as the French would for destroying tanks...must have been really tired that night
Anyway, I took it for a spin last night and it's definitely a bit harder for the French to fend off the Germans now. Not impossible if you have a bit of luck...but I wasn't able to re-produce the serious bloody nose I gave the Germans the first time around.
So here's Flavion the 2nd Try. Now it's back to Tarawa.
