1.60 possible bugs

Post by Wolfe1759 »

Is it just me or does it all go a bit pear shaped when you scroll out the view a bit

The unit names don't seem to scroll out match the new screen location or screen size of the units

Seems only to be happening for the counters and counters 2 unit skin not the sprites or the counters by Vianom skin options

Also I'm assuming the tutorial isn't finished yet - no units at all for either side in the scenario briefing screen or on the map

I have noticed the same for counters and counters 2, i.e., the names are not close to the units.

Also, I generally use the mix setting; and mix does not have any unit names shown when scrolled out a few clicks.

A couple more

Unit names obscure unit size and unit frozen icons is sprite skin

When making an air strike the (what I think is) APs remaining for the initiating air unit is overprinted in the available target hexes on top of the potential target unit. Sorry ignore this I'm sure it is intended and is actualy a useful reminder of air strikes remaining for the unit

A couple of questions as well

Side unit dots can be turned on/off and Big Blue blinking dot can be turned on/off - how ?

Tac air units with for instance 2 APs can do spot-bomb-bomb or bomb-spot-bomb but can't do bomb-bomb-spot is this intended ?

Like the way enemy attacks and particularaly air attacks are indicated - no way you can miss who the target is now.

We discovered it yesterday, it was to late to update beta patch on servers. But anyway thanks for info.
When making an air strike the (what I think is) APs remaining for the initiating air unit is overprinted in the available target hexes on top of the potential target unit.

All I can say is that you/modders can change position, size and color of this value, it is in map skin appearance.csv file if someone is interested.
Side unit dots can be turned on/off and Big Blue blinking dot can be turned on/off - how ?
By slightly editing info.png file of units skin you are using. In official patch release there will be info.png that will allow to turn blinking on/off by just editing few values in appearance.csv (because we realize that not everyone is familiar with png files editing)
Tac air units with for instance 2 APs can do spot-bomb-bomb or bomb-spot-bomb but can't do bomb-bomb-spot is this intended ?
It was not intended, but it is already fixed so in official patch should be ok.

hi all

this is the story so far, only a few trns in.(1.60 no Bleck hotfix installed!)Maybe it's me not sure.
report errors
----No losses taken or dealt displays all zero's
----reports says no sea battles, when there were two.
----some report windows appear transparent, previous text obscures the next page.

blank black boxs appear when enemy city or unit is selected, left over from previous air menu before the patch.

that's it so far, love the new info on the map, along with the air unit menus, good job

just an update - I uninstalled then reinstalled (1.00),added the 1.60 revised update.
still have the same conditions:report errors [/size]

After the re-install and update I did some more checking...

the losses are displaying correctly now, so that's ok, but the "losses" window seems to be a transparent report window.
I can stilll see a previous viewed report log through the losses window,eg. I click on battle report, views ok,then click on losses and the losses report overlays the battle report, both visable at the same time.

It's usable, but something the trouble shooting team might be interested in knowing about. I haven't heard anyone else mention this problem.
