Okay, this really has nothing to do with WIR, but has anyone heard the status of Kaiser Wilhelm II? Yes, I know he's dead. In October 2000, the Dutch were asking the German government to take his body back to Germany from the estate at Doorn but were politely refused. Anyone have an update?

Oh, the tie-in to WIR.... Thanks to Willy, the Germans lost WWI which led to the Nazi regime, the war... and eventually computer wargames like WIR.:)

I'm curious....why do the Dutch want to send him back? He's been there since 1918 or 19.

The estate has been subsidized by the Dutch for years, and they're a little tired of it. The Germans didn't want him back. They get some tourists, and souvenirs with the Hohenzolleran seal sell well, but not enough to pay for keeping up the joint.
