graphics excellence

From the front lines in France and Russia to the deserts of North Africa and the airfields and convoys of Britain, the campaigns of World War II are yours to command in WW2: Time of Wrath! This turn-based grand strategy title, the highly improved and expanded sequel to WW2: Road to Victory, puts the player in charge of the political, economic and military decisions of one or more Axis or Allied nations, including minor nations.

graphics excellence

take a look at this screenshot of the German salient in my current PBEM. It's mid-December, blizzard conditions, snow covers the ground feet thick, storms raging, even the counters are only partially visible through the the blinding snow.

Within the limitations imposed by hex-based graphics, this is excellence - game graphics lending eloquently to the game atmosphere

another kudo to Wastelands

[we play fog of war of one hex, and I just gave away my current sitrep to Choco, but maybe it will spur him on to expend more of his precious panzer units fighting the weather]

It should be noted that this is version 1.5, and Russian industrial strength has been tweaked downa bit for 1.6, (all that is moddable, and can be changed at startup too) so don't try this at home, boys, leave it to the professionals.

Seriously, I was quite pleased that in this PBEM, while the Germans have not made historical advances in the south and north, the center is like a page right out of history. You can almost (well maybe 1/100000th) get a sense of the desperation of the German drive on Moscow, the dawning awareness that the war was not going to end soon, perhaps even a presentiment of impending disaster.

So close!
So hard to re-inforce!.
(Don't let him keep Kaluga - but you'd already worked that out for yourself)

Maybe more infantry, (if you can scrape up the PPs?) I think he's screeeewed.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite malfunction
