love the game, question about unit detail

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

love the game, question about unit detail

Post by pkpowers »

Playing NJ1 as allies , inspecting my units, click on mosquito NF , squadron 456, click on detail, under armament there is listed "booer" ? spelling trouble, can't read what it is.

When I check the aircrafts data base it's only listed as carrying 20mm;s and Gee

( I thought it might stand for oboe.)

love the game, playing battle of britain as Axis and NJ 1 as allies

great game can only get better

thanks for everyone who gave night battle tactics in earlier thread

Boozer is indeed a radar warning receiver.

Harley, as the code god, will correct me if I get this wrong. But the reason you are seeing an apparent discrepancy between the aircraft database and the squadron details is because some items - such as Schrage Musik, radars and ECM kit, have their own hard-coded and invisible production routine, and are fitted to aircraft as they become available. In addition, some squadrons are fixed to have specific kit to reflect history. For example, although for simplicity's sake H2S radar in the game comes as a standard fit for the Lanc and Halifax IIIs, but not the Lanc I and Halifax II, the Pathfinder squadrons starting with the latter nevertheless have H2S.

So the Mossies, in the database, appear relatively bare-boned. But in reality, when issued to a squadron, they get extra goodies, and yet more as the game goes on and better toys are developed.

What ^ he said. Special equipment doesn't show up in the plane stats. You'll see this with the Me110G4 - they have many types of Airborne Intercept radar, but the AC database only lists the default.
