The Lines Are Drawn

Does this distribution of territory after a German surrender seem workable to anyone?

I have no idea what it would take improve the choices the AI makes but this result is absurd.

I'm missing something. What is it that seems absurd?

Let me explain, Germany surrendered to the USSR so the AI gave them large and small chunks of territory that they cannot occupy without attacking the Allies. The British were given two separate chunks of territory. Also given that Paris has been liberated and Germany is KAPUT. Why does Vichy France still exist?

Perhaps kind of like Berlin, in which the US, UK, and French sectors were sourrounded by the enem ... I mean the Russian zone.

I guess there could have been circumstances, however remote, for the Vichy government to remain in place for a while.

Anything is possible but since the game is event driven, let's have one for this circumstance.

Yes,no.

Another thought, I began this game playing Italy solo against the AI, I switched the Allies to human control just to be able to get by CTD caused by USA AI.

Any chance this effected the AI in a bad way? It was quite a few turns into the game before the change of control was necessary.

OK, so I've decided to move on and start a new game. SEE AAR

Iron Curtain...

But I think the division of unoccupied territory by the AI needs to be changed so that it does NOT create areas that can NOT be accessed by the controlling nation.
