Industry variants

Post by Uxbridge »

I only just now realized that there's a difference between certain PP-producing hexes. Some have an industrial symbol and just one number refering to amount of PPs; the other have no symbol and the number in two versions split by a slash (as before). I thought the yellow symbol (or not the yellow symbol) had something to do with graphics. I don't get it, but I'm sure it's very interesting!

But was is it? [&:]

There are 5 types of "cities":
1) supply depot
2) normal city
3) supply depot + port
4) port
5) resources

Amount of PP produced by city can be temporary lowered by bombardment (that's why there are two values "currentPP/maxPP", for type 5 also should be, will be fixed). Resource city (type 5) have yellow industrial symbol.

Also PP taken from resources always give 100%  no matter who was the original owner of the hex, while PP taken via conquest from other cities are reduced by "occupation" penalty.

Yes, I know this, and unless changed, you can't bomb it. It was the symbols that confused. I had my own and suddenly there was another one.

Now you can bomb resources! That was new. At least one couldn't do it in RtV.
