magic buttons

From the front lines in France and Russia to the deserts of North Africa and the airfields and convoys of Britain, the campaigns of World War II are yours to command in WW2: Time of Wrath! This turn-based grand strategy title, the highly improved and expanded sequel to WW2: Road to Victory, puts the player in charge of the political, economic and military decisions of one or more Axis or Allied nations, including minor nations.

magic buttons

Post by Michael the Pole »

As I was saying to one of my grandkids the other day, in fifty five years there's an amazing amount of music to try to remember. My thanks to AH4Ever for reminding me about Al Stewart (and to Rock Band for reminding me about the Beatles.) You're probably wondering what all this has to do with ToW, and has that pontificating idiot finally left the rails. [:'(]

Well, there is method, etc., etc.... It's a great big world out there and it's harder and harder to know everything that's going on that you'd be really interested in. In the same way, it's a really big game -- I've been playing these games for well over a year now, and, not being a wizzo, have never had the occasion to push any of the function buttons until 5:30 this morning.

WOW![:D]

If you haven't tried the f1 key, there's a whole world of wonder awaiting you. Try it!

Having enjoyed that suprise, I began to wonder what other little easter eggs might be hiding under the radar, (boy, is that a mixed metaphor!) and thus, started this thread. Are there any (probably) little known tricks, tools, etc. that some of us don't know about that we should?

Please share with us computer illiterates!

hmmm.. tooltips for almost every GUI component, by default delay before they are shown is 3s, if you want it to be shorter, edit value in 3rd line of GlobalSettings.csv.

Also if you want to overwrite existing save while saving game, you don't have to select it, click "Save", confirm and so on... just hold Ctrl key down when selecting save from the the list, it will save it automatically and return to game. [:)]

Well, if you weren't aware that there was a hotkey list, it's pretty kool.

Thanks, Bleck -- this is exactly what I meant!

You're welcome

The next best thing to being clever is being able to quote someone who is.

You weren't there Thursday... You MISSED it!
