Questions on Withdrawing Air Units

Post by cfulbright »

Some questions on withdrawing air units, which the manual :

1. It's Jan. 22, 1942, and I have to withdraw the various units of the 39th BG in SF by Feb. 5. I can withdraw all units except the HQ unit, which doesn't have a withdraw button.

2. If I disband those units, their planes don't seem to go into the pool. Some other SF units' planes do go into the pool if you disband them, some don't. I can't figure out the reason for one way or the other.

3. I previously had 47th BG units in SF to withdraw by Jan. 15. If I tried to withdraw them on that date, the game wouldn't let me. I had to go back a turn to try to withdraw them, but only a "Disband" choice was available, no Withdraw choice.

4. No 100 RAF PR Det. was to withdraw on Dec. 19. When I withdrew it on Dec. 17 I was given 12 Political Points for this. I haven't gotten PP for withdrawing other units. Under what circumstances do I get PP for withdrawing air units?

5. Some units have the Disband and Withdraw buttons in red text. This appears to be units in tough spots like Clark Field. What are the specifics on what causes a unit to have its buttons turn red, and what are the effects?

1,2,3: if you withdraw (or disband) a White restricted unit assigned to WC you don't keep nothing: is intended, they go to europe. you keep air or pilot from jellow restricted. at the date scheduled all aircraft are automatic withdraw.

4.for not restricted units you can keep PP OR air and pilot if you withdraw before the date is your choice
5.the red is for unit that don't have connection with home bases: if you disband/withdraw you lose all aircraft
