Swatter's Counters 1.6

Post by swatter555 »

Just place folder into you data/gfx folder and alter you game options and you are set. Thanks to Uxbridge for his naval counters.

Let me know about any glitches you might find.

*UPDATED*

I changed a few things on several countries armor and mech units, they blend better now. I also made the leader star easier to see.

If you want to see a screen, I will post one below.

Hands down, by far the best counter set I've seen!! I spent weeks with my own counters, but all for not, as yours are so much better.[&o] Thank you.

Feedback: been using these counters for several now.

For some reason, my brain was having trouble interpreting the shading on the level ticks as 3-D and not just blurred.

Seems better the more I see them however.

That's it! [:)]

Awesome job![:)][:)]

Thanks![:)][:)][:)]

OK, another day, several more hours.

The one spot of trouble today is with tired eyes and the leadership star pretty much just for just German units. (It seems to almost disappear on mech infantry).

Would there be anyway to make it just a little bit larger or with a shade of yellow that provides better contrast?

Thanks! Everything is looking great.

Question... On the zoomed out, flag iconic view- is it possible to have a mark on the flag to distinguish air units from ground units?

Yet another great counter mod, It's like being a kid in a sweetshop with all the counter mods that are being done. So far though this is my favorite, maximum information within a very clean design.

One option (as I've done) is to alter the first value (70) in line 32 of the appearence file to 30 or 40 which means you can zoom out further before the units convert to flags and still clearly be able to distinguish between infantry, armour and air units.

Yes, I've tried that but I go back and forth.

The reason I'd like to not mod to zoom further out is the convenience of doing repairs by yellow dotted flag units. The problem is avoiding repairing expensive air units when I just want to fix ground units.

No biggie....
