Breakdown in trade relations

Post by Uxbridge »

I'm trying to set up a fake trade network between Germany and some Balkan countries. In doing this I have created a fake sea and a number of fake ports in the respective countries, none of these being connected to the standard sea/port network. It all seems to work fine and the game seems to recognize the system by showing appropriate red and green lines between sea and port illustrations in the fleet display.

At first it worked, but when I broadened the network, it suddenly didn't. It's when I try to send PPs that something happens. The game crashes and I get the message in the consoleOut as below:

PRZED KONWOJAMI Germany, STP obecne:24 z konwojow z poprzedniej tury:26
Executing all convoys for Germany
Klaipeda takes supply from convoy (30) because its own supply is lower (19)
Koenisberg takes supply from convoy (30) because its own supply is lower (15)
Error: Country ID parameter was 0 while checking alliance!

I can't figure this out! Have I bumped into some invisible hard-code? I'm about to give the whole trading idea up, but thought it worth to ask first.

Of course, I know I'm not supposed to fiddle with these things ... [8|]

I might need this scenario and maybe autosave... then I can tell exactly what is happening.

I might have done something which really isn't supposed to work, but if you could spare a minute to have a look, splendid. It's the scenario, autosave and ConsoleOut.

sea_edges.csv
(Strait control location X, Strait control location Y) should point to land hex, you entered values (123, 126) in lines 240 to 243 - this is sea hex.

Oh dear! So it was something like that, was it?

I was sure it had to do with me entering areas that was "verboten". And then it was just me, being a computer bungler.

Thanks, Bleck. That's customer service if ever there was any.
