Question for the developers

Post by madgamer2 »

Not being able to take advantage of the discount for owning WitP due to fixed income and medical bills will extend beyond the 90 day dead line and the price will then be to high
As the way of developing a game consists of development, testing and release. This is followed by a period where updates and patchs are released till the game reaches a stable condition.
I was wondering if this game has taken or is still taking a longer time to reach a stable condition? Many of the reports are not bugs but things the player does not under stand. I mean a manual of some 300+ pages is a great deal to absorb.

So I was just wondering if this game has been the most difficult to deelop ahnd reach a stable condition?

Well I will go back to my WitP game now which is as close as I will come to AE (SIGH)

RE: Question for the developers

Post by wdolson »

AE has been pretty much stable since I joined the project in December 2007.  We've had a few bugs that created crashes, but it's been as stable as WitP was most of the time.  Most of the bugs we found weren't dead in the water issues, they were just things that didn't work as planned like transports setting sail before completely loading, text in the wrong place on a screen, or displaying the wrong graphic at the wrong time.  We had a few crash bugs, but those were easy to catch soon after creation.

The bigger the program, the more complex it is simply because of the size, and WitP is pretty big.
