Where to begin?

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Where to begin?

Post by cdvalenta »

What's the best way to start learning this game?

I've read through the manual and fooled around some, but I would like to know how others went through the learning curve.

Thanks!

I did as you did, played detailed battles etc to learn the base mechanics, then took the plunge into pbem.

The best way to learn!

Although PBEM is certainly more challenging, it would be a mistake to learn the mechanics of the game in that mode. The simple reason is that it will take 10 to a hundred times longer.[8|]

Just jump on your chosen thrown and battle away. For the first game or two you can skip the advance economy as that is sort of a game within the game. When you are comfortable with all the other basic rules, fire up the advanced economy-its another whole dimension.

I learned by first mastering Forge of Freedom.
