Screen Scroll Speed

Is there any adjustment on the speed at which the screen scrolls when you are moving the mouse across the screen. As it is, when I scroll, the map just flys by in a blur. It seems to be two extremes. either I blur the screen from one point to another or I move several hexes at a time, to get from point A to point B. I figured I'd ask, before I spend hours in the manual. Thanks

In the preference screen there is a map scroll delay setting. The hot key P will get you there while you are in the game so you can experiment a bit.
