Great trailer.  I especially like the "Coming November 2009" part! [:D]

Nice. Thank you. You all are keeping us informed. Just yesterday I was hoping some new information or video comes out soon.

It's a good commercial. I hope you could also release a video of several minutes of game play and voice narration.

Yeah, they "accidentally" let slip the latest possible release date...

Definitely going to get this, BTW. Been seriously deficient in good 4X games for a long time now.

Very cool. I anticipate being able to order this when I get back from Thanksgiving (I hope, I hope!). [;)]

Reminds me a lot of Sins of a Solar Empire which was extremely too fast paced for me. My opponents all had APM's of like 434234 and i was at 42 lol. The graphics were pretty cool, but I couldn't enjoy them because the pace was so fast and I had to remain zoomed out.

Am I totally wrong (I hope)?

Ah that sounds interesting, I saw 4x and immediately thought RTS. [:D]

Huh? I'm guessing you're not very familiar with the 4x sub-genre, then.

I say that because the vast majority of space strategy 4x games are turn-based, not real-time. Games like Sins are the exception to the rule, not the norm.

(EDIT: Or are you merely implying that you're that addicted to Sins? [;)] )

In any case, I've long been waiting for a game like Armada. A space 4x title that has turn-based empire management combined with real-time battles? Sign me up!

No, I realize it's not the first game to do this. However, it is the first one I've that appears to really incorporate most of the things I've been looking for in a space strategy title. The release date can't come soon enough for me!

The trailer is nice, but it goes waaay too fast, as if it was done to promote the idea that it's a clickfest RTS !! [X(][:D]

I also have SoaSE with the expansion and I won't play it anymore. Just can't do well with most real time games and SoaSE gave me a hard time too. You are not alone... [;)]

However, this title I WILL buy the moment it is available. [&o]

Don't worry, there is a pause button for the real time battles. And the rest is turn based :)

I learned long ago to not trust release dates by Gamestop (or just about anyone else, really); they're rarely more than educated guesses anyway. Unless & until an official date is announced by the developer/publisher, I always look at such "release dates" with a very large grain of salt.

Matrix has said they're shooting to have Armada out in time for Thanksgiving, so hopefully we'll be able to get in the next week here.
