Finally!

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Finally!

Post by Golden Bear »

Many times I have watched as my (Allied) fighters shoot down a named enemy pilot over the Channel only for them to be rescued. Meanwhile my own brave lads get captured even in mid Channel. Where IS he Royal Navy anyway?

But this time I watched my 4th FG bounce enemy fighters over that same Channel, the enemy pilot bails... and gets captured!!! Woohoo! Allies 1 Axis 24000!!

It was also a day where things got messed up and the 15th BGs didn't launch but the FSs did. But one of them ran over the top of some interceptors returning to base and just nailed 'em. All the planning and a complete fluke delivers a big bonus.

Bear;

Come on... admit it! You do all that careful plotting and planning just to make it look like luck!

Man, you are good!

just luck of the roll

I have seen Allied pilots come down in Italy and be rescued, and the same with LW types, just a bad or a good roll (depending on your point of view)

I had a lot of data on evaders, wanted to get that chance added in, it is on the list for down the road

Oh, yeah, planned it all the time![;)] It was out of Italy with three FSs at staggered times flying up the exit route of a bomber raid up by Vienna. I carefully plotted them so they wouldn't be close to and flaktraps, err, AFs at the target point but they managed to find one anyway. Then they decided to go home rather than hover. Shot a few bad guys along the way but they had me shaking my head with their general stupidity otherwise. But I cleverly timed one of the FSs to show up over an AF that wasn't even on their path (!?) and shoot down landing planes. Silly game.
