Suggestion: add supression

Post by Deadmoon »

One of the issues in PG thay i liked most is the "supression" concept, something that is missing here.

Basically you attack other units and reduce their strength, you either deal damage or not. There are some units that shouldn´t be able to damage other units so easily (read my previous post).

I think that game would benefit if developers could add the "supression" concept. Not exactly as PG series but something like for each attack suffered there´s a chance that a unit could become "supressed" (same as chances of retire). In that case the unit suffer a (for example) -30% in all it´s stats for a whole turn.

This way you could attack those heavy russian tanks with several Panzer units and, instead of dealing nearly nothing you could try ot supress tham, making them less dangerous and allowing a chance of dealing damage to them. Make numbers count!

This would add a new depth to combat. Now it´s just: attack and make damage, attack with other unit, deal more damage...repeat till it reach "zero". Boring.
