Upgrade the Brooklyns or no for '42?

Post by SuluSea »

It's April '42 in my game and I have the option of upgrading the Brooklyns but thinking about keeping the extra surface guns aboard for the remainder of the year, just wondering the thoughts of some other players?

Pros and Cons?

Have a great weekend all! [:)]

The 3"/50 is not a very potent weapon in game terms (sub surface attacks vividly demonstrate this), nor was it in real life.  I'd take the extra AA any day, not to mention radar.

Extra AA becomes a God-send in '44 when the Kamakazi units are screaming in on your ships...

As you get further into war, the first duty of all surface shps is to protect carriers. I always take any AA upgrade it can get.   Oh yes, then there is radar too.. Go for it.

Radar and more AA is a must do, especially when all you lose are weapons of little or no value.

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.
