Need tips for my NJ role

Hi all,

so this is my situation:

Playing BTR'43. I'm sending back with bloody noses the yankees during their daylight bombing attacks. My ZGs are making wonders against the B-17s and the B-24s.
My real problem is when the sun sets and the Bomber Command comes out and play.
My NJ is never able to do anything as good as their daylight counterparts. Usually i manage to kill less than 10 bombers per night, losing 5-7 planes on my own...Berlin, Munich, Hamburg...all my cities are suffering a lot.
Normally, as i spot the main stream's direction, i call out for a BIG patrol on its supposed route. My groups are divided at different altitudes (between 15 and 25k). I keep on moving my patrols, readjusting their path on the stream's route. When the stream passes over my patrols' positions i order to intercept and here they go...but the results are poor...

Any tips or suggestions?

Try without patrols. I've intercepted three big raids so far, trying two techniques. In the first I allocated whole groups to each incoming raid, in the second, many detachments from different groups to each incoming raid. The first method has given one good and one bad result. The second, one good result to date, but clearly there's not enough data to to determine whether each method makes a difference.
 
By good result I mean 25 plus bombers shot down, plus crashes.
 
I've tried using the single engine NFs to intercept Mosquitos, so far with no success and several losses as they tried to land. Otherwise I leave Mosquitos alone.
 
The best bomber killers seem to be the Ju and Do. Me, even with pods, seem to suffer as much loss as they inflict.

remember, this is the time when Windows was most effective (well, a bit earlier then this, but we still in the Window haven zone)

so, as the LW radar get better, so will there combat

if you can, try to guess where the raid is heading, and then park your planes over top of the target, the Flak and search lights will help out

early on, WILDE SAU tactics work best , ZAHME SAU tactics work better later in the game

look for some posts by Swift, he is the master at Wilde Sau tactics


(Wilde Sau =Wild Boar, basicly sitting over the target and using the fires and search lights to highlight the targets for single and later twin engine fighters (if your lucky, Flak is following there orders and holding there fire to preset alt, that alt and below, belongs to the Flak, above, belongs to the fighters)
Zahme Sau =Tame Boar, is flying to a beacon, letting radar pick you up and then the ground radar tries to guide you into the bomber stream)

Guessing where those damned streams are going is far from being an easy job! Especially those who take the northern way...they could go towards Hamburg, Berlin or even deeper into German territory...
Anyway, the last turn i managed to shoot 19 bombers simply parking my patrols right in the middle of the stream and then ordering the general attack...anyway i'd like to try the Wilde Sau method...let's see if i can have any success!
