Depends on what you can accomplish and what resources do you want to commit.

If you want to stop Japs for good throwing 3 divisions into Burma-forget about it.
If you want to slow the japs down with only few additional troops-you can think about it.

The best you can do is try to emulate the historical British retreat, and save as many of your troops as you can. DON'T defend Rangoon.

Akyab is pretty easy to turn into a fortress. You can also set up a formidable defense line around the Mandalay area.

ETF,

Several posters that (against the AI) commented about holding the IJA up at Pegu, resulting in a prolonged defense. Against the AI, a spirited defense of Pegu can work. I doubt its feasibility against a human.

good luck with your war!

Don´t forget that every day you can delay the IJA advance through Burma and so keeping the Burma road
open gives 500 supplies to Tsuyung.

Fact: China lives and dies with supplies. (Wow...a rhyme...i should apply for a rap-battle or how they call those 8-mile parties... [8|])

Also, defence of Pegu, when it fails, may cause one's troops to retreat to Rangoon. That can create nasty "Stalingrad" for Allied player and may cause heavy losses and even encircled and lost units.
