proportional fighter mod

Post by simovitch »

While we wait for sharper graphics I'm working on a mod that scales down the single engine planes relative to the bombers. It really clears things up on the screen. It should be ready in a week or 2 for both BOB and BTR.

If I single out the 110, I would have to do them all historically proportional; that's just the way I am.[:)]

EDIT: I'll see what I can do to get some of the medium sized twin engines scaled down a bit as I go.

OK, the 110's and several other twin engine FB's will now have an intermediate scaling:

Here's a sneak peak of BTR allied.

I decided that the final mod will have 4 different scales depending on wingspan.
fighters
fighter-bombers (P38, Me110, Mosquito, etc.)
medium bombers (B25, He111, etc.)
heavy bombers

I don't think it was ever actually released. The author is still around. He was logged in today. You might want to Email him and see if he will provide what he has. It was working to the extent it had been implemented. Someone could complete it.

Just a note if this is still being worked on. The Ta152H and B&V155 have high aspect ratio wings and would need to be scaled like the twins.

Thanks BigDuke66 for posting the link. I don't visit here much anymore, but the mod is finished imo.
