Combat mode animation

Armada 2526 continues the great tradition of space opera games. You guide your race from its first interstellar journeys, until it becomes a mighty galactic empire. Along the way, you'll explore the galaxy, conduct research, diplomacy and trade, found new colonies, maneuver mighty star fleets, and fight epic battles.

Combat mode animation

Post by MasterChief »

Is there a way to slow down the combat mode animation. With a little practice (and the pause button) I can manage the fleets well enough but I would love to sit back and watch the results. By the time I have blinked a couple times most battle are over.

Humm...I'm assuming the lack of replies answers my question. Although overall I like this game better than SEV, I did enjoy the fact that SEV allowed you to slow down the battles which gave me that feel reminiscent of huge "ships of the line" of old, swinging about to bring their massive batteries to bear on the enemy. Oh well thanks for the efforts in developing this great game.

You have the Turbo button (and F8) to *speed up* the battle [;)] The default is the slow mode - which I find too slow most of the time, but my machine is hardly state-of-the-art. Crappy machines do have their uses I guess [:D]

How do you fire, anyway? Right-click on an enemy ship?

You can select your ships and then r-click on enemy units or you can just move to within range and they will fire on their own.
