Game Map 1941 (ALPHA Version)

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

My first thoughts exactly: "Jeeesus!" (pardon my language). But it's impressive indeed, it's huge. And the colours are well chosen too!

Thought so. Thx. Does that mean that the Yugo partisan campaign is included?

Absolutely beautiful map! If this had been a tabletop game my cat would have jumped up on it and dragged it down on the floor together with all the beautiful counters... Let him try it on the screen for once. [:)]

Now, I think I'm gonna need to invest into a HUGE screen. My 24'' screen suddenly just seems riduculously small......
I wonder if using a large TV screen would do. Well I guess a whole wall of them would be better. The most beautiful wargame map I've seen so far.
[&o][&o][&o]
I guess it would be great to print this map out and use it in place of the old FITE/SE maps...........
Well I supposed I would probably go for a good old paper and counters versions of this game if it was made.

Hopefully one day it will be expanded to also cover other theatres and other periodes.
I guess this game system can probably be adapted to cover WWI the napoleonic wars, WWIII, the roman empire, an alien invasion or whatever else if the good database and scenario is provided...........

Forget WitE, you’ve done over half the work already. Just a little more effort on the map and you can do War in Europe. [;)][:D]

Seriously though, beautiful job on the map. As the years go by things just get better and better for us wargamers. I just hope I live long enough to actually see an entire War in Europe game done at this scale.

Western/Italian Fronts seem to be the obvious choice.
