CV TF not attacking

I have all of my CV's in 4 TF's all just refuelled and repaired at Pearl... All planes are set to naval attck.. and i pass right by several enemy TF's and nothing... I have full sorties, and my TF have attacked in the past... I can't figure out what is wrong.... Weather is ok....

Please help... I am in march 42 and getting spanked...

How good is the search effort you are conducting. I've found that if I don't have good intel on a naval target that the planes may not fly, and the other time is when there is only one or a very few in a TF. Then search planes seem to bomb it and be done with it.

What's the Reaction Range of your CV TF's set at Santino.

This could have several reasons:
Weather, detection value, plane´s range settings, overstacking are the first things id check.

I agree, I don't think you are allocating enough percentage of your aircraft to air searches. I do it manally take make sure the right area's are being searched.

I have my TF's set to a reactive distance of 6, and the enemy is all ready been sighted by a sub...   Also, i only have 1 Carrier per TF, but I have 4 TF all on 1 Square...

CV TF´s only react to other CV TF´s. So if the sightings are not carriers and out of range they stay out of range.

Iv'e found that the two biggest influences on Aircombat Task Forces launch strikes are the weather, and the detection level of the target.

Naval Search (or the lack of) are now very important in AE, and if your arcs are not set correctly you run the risk of losing targets, and Carriers!

Subs detecting the TFs isn't going to help you. You have to find them with search planes from your CV TF.

So, I have a question for you. As the Japanese in the first few days of the war my Carrier fleet has been very busy sinking American ships and running low in torps. Still have lots of Ops, they can still use regular bombs to bomb more ships can't they? I got lots on air search and finding a few task forces but no bombing raids now.

Yes they will continue to attack with bombs until running out of ops.
