View Only Mode?

Post by larrywrose »

One of the things I can do as a host is look at the saved monthly turns. I would like to suggest an option for each player to be able to go back to a previous turn in a View Mode. Have everyone keep a copy of the Diplomacy Phase just like the game host, and allow the ability to hit a button and go back to the previous Diplomacy Phase. Nothing can be changed, but you can look at the beginning of each turn. Like in a lot of games you can have a switch to Keep last 3 months, 6 months, year or all. It's not like even my laptop will run out of disk space for this. I beleive that an entire game would probably be less than 2 gig of hard drive space. Have a "Previous Turn" button that will allow you to move back and forth through the turns in View Mode until you get back to the curret turn.

One more thing, if this is done I would also suggest either allowing people to set up custom paths, or automatically create a backup directory which has a sub directory for each game. Try to keep the man game directory clean.

Thanks
