Next update...update.

Armada 2526 continues the great tradition of space opera games. You guide your race from its first interstellar journeys, until it becomes a mighty galactic empire. Along the way, you'll explore the galaxy, conduct research, diplomacy and trade, found new colonies, maneuver mighty star fleets, and fight epic battles.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next patch will cover the following.

Improved Bureaucracy. Effect reduced and capped. Scales with size of map. Additional settings to reduce or disable.
Mod System. Fully or partially replaces files for mods. Use multiple mods at once. Even supports mods for mods.
Cost and factor re-balance to increase fleet sizes and make ground units more important.
Ability to place transports under ai control to automatically distribute population. Immigration and emigration controls for each planet
Hopefully, some improvement in problems saving large games.
Saves custom game settings

Should be done early in the new year.

The patch after will probably be concerned with the following
Bug fixes
Improved UI features
More things exposed for modders, plus one or two feature requests
Improved A.I.
Wish list:population centers beyond planetary(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Culture):Ships,Ring Orbitals,Sphere Orbitals,Ringworlds,Sphereworlds;ability to create & destroy planets,population centers,stars;AI competently using all advances & features.

That's good news. It's already a solid game, and this will only make it better.

Excellent! Looks like the next patch will address quite a few issues people have brought up.

I'm especially glad to see Bureaucracy getting some love, as well as the ability to automate population distribution. I'll definitely be looking forward to it.

Ntronium might have had many to all off these ideas and updates in mind when the game was released.

(from list of upcoming update)
Improved Bureaucracy. Effect reduced and capped. Scales with size of map. Additional settings to reduce or disable.
Hopefully, some improvement in problems saving large games.

I plan to play the largest map sizes in Armada 2526. Can we have included in an update the feature of unlimited research? Maybe a "Future Advancement 1,...2,3, etcetera" idea. Each "Future Advancement" increases the power of structures and ships by 1%. Maybe have the research cost of each "Future Advancement" increase by 50% or 100%.

This being included in the upcoming patch would be excellent because it relates to the large map/game size updates included already. If not in this update then in another soon one would be greatly appreciated too.

I'm close to telling the praises of Armada 2526 to people around me.

This sounds like a good patch, and it also looks like the developer is listening to the suggestions from the player base since a number of the requested features are being implemented. So far I give this patch a big thumbs up!

Sorry the patch has been progressing rather slowly. I hope to have a beta version ready by the weekend.

We'll have the beta patch up here soon - our entire production team has been down sick, which has slowed us down.
