HQ Distruction

Post by robotechjb »

Anyone know what happens to individual units if the HQ unit they are attached to is destroyed? I am playing as allies and am wondering if I need to try and save any HQ units like ABDA or Burma Command?

Will the units under the command be released upon its destruction?
Does the HQ somehow respawn somewhere else?

Figured may be better to ask than find out the hard way...

Thanks

I don't think they respawn if completely destroyed but not sure on that one. What I do know though is if you save even .1% of that unit it will rebuild whereever it may be as long as you have lots of supply! This is true with any ground force unit!

Some HQs respawn & some don't. I'm sure that the restricted HQs that didn't last long in the actual war will not respawn (for example, ABDA, Malaya, USAFFE, Asiatic Fleet, etc.). In addition, some of these HQs have a withdrawal date. However, I have seen some other HQs respawn (for example, Chinese HQs and the two RAF HQs that start out in Malaya).

I evacuated ABDA HQ out of Java right before it fell; now it's sitting in Darwin but has very few attached units left to command.  Will it still provide bonuses to nearby units even though they are attached to another HQ?
