Seems kind of dead sometimes...

I had some medium sized battles where the AI fleet would just sit there until I moved into range, in one encounter where I was heavily outnumbered (I had 1 missle cruiser and 8 destroyer II, he had 3 missile cruisers, and about 18 other ships in the destroyer/cruiser range) I simply advanced my MC slowly until it started firing at some militia which were in front of the rest of the ships and the AI just sat there while I blew them up, then I advanced another bit until the destroyers were in range, and again, it just sat there while I blew them up.

Eventually I found myself in range of the missiles and the AI finally responded, but it really was shooting fish in a barrel, and a battle where I should have had 100% casualties to him losing maybe a couple screening ships. Instead I took out 20 odd ships and lost only 3.

I've seen similar behavior in other battles (seems to be only when the AI is the defender) where I'm outgunned but the AI does nothing so I can just wait for retreat to light up and boogie out.

It does have some weakness with regard to missile cruisers
