AUTUMN STORM v1

Post by Andy Mac »

Just so you dont think I am doing nothing....

1st stab so far of an Autumn Storm Scenario its very rough so far

No AI yet so its not playable

I think the Soviet OOB is ok on land and in the air at present although I need to think a bit more about starting locvations

I need to do a lot of work on the japanese to pull out the remnants of the land and air units transferred elsewhere and then I need to write the AI scripts .

I also need to go through the japanese air groups and LCU's and sort out TOE and squad upgrades

But so far its coming along reasonably

Have not as yet even touched on vicotry conditions

Before I spend the next few weeks on this is this something folks would like to try ?

When its a little more complete I will need some playtesters to try it out if anyone is interested v Ai or if two want to try it via PBEM.

Going to probably be a 40 ish day scenario

Here is the Monograph/book done by COL Glantz when he was at the US Army Combat Studies Institute. Has OOB's for both sides as well as the conduct of the operation.

I have a complete OOB for the Japanese forces in Manchuria at the start of Autumn Storm. Can try to scan it and send it to you. Problem is: Japanese forces in Korea and North China are not covered by this OOB. But you can easily find the forces in Korea in the stock AE OOB (19th and 20th Division + their 'fourth' regiments had left, of course). North China is a little bit more complicated because I would have to gather the necessary information from various documents (doable, but I'm currently to busy at work for this).

Some (smaller) Soviet artillery units are missing in the (stock AE) OOB, btw.
