As a great fun of WiR and many other strategy games, I can only ask, WHEN this
game will be released!? Any news about it?

This is what Joel said late December 2009: "We're not at Beta yet, and you can always assume it will take at least a couple of months after Beta before the game is ready for release. We hope to make a push toward beta in the first quarter of 2010, but I can't yet say whether we'll end up at beta by the end of the 1st quarter or not. We are making great progress and would like to get the game out by the end of Q2. This is our goal, but in no way a promise or commitment."

And they're still not at the Beta stage yet, nearing it though is my understanding. Soooo, 1-2 months before Beta is released and then a whole lot of playtesting again, so yeah maybe the end of Q2... personally I think it might be a wee bit later. [:D]

Yeah, Distant Worlds is due to be released any time now and we can't goad an official date out of Erik.  [:'(]  So don't expect to see any date announced for WitE for months.
