Weather changes?

Does cloud cover change over the map during planning phase? It adds a bit of uncertainty I suppose, but I was just wondering if this is WAD. It also changes depending on where your map is centered...

Pretty sure there are at least 2 weather zones - northern & southern Europe - thus the different cloud levels. I suspect you moved your cursor between the two zones in your example.

OK cool, thanks. In this scenario it seems to be about 5 zones, depending on where my mouse is.

In the BTR campaigns there are 6 zones: 3xNorth and 3xSouth
northern Zones
- UK+most of France
- Germany
- Poland
Southern Zones:
- western Med (Spain, Southern France, Western Africa)
- Italy
- Balkan (ex Yugoslavia, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania)

The weather zones isn't something I've been able to improve - with the old game, the small map window made it easy to see which zone you were in. With the new larger map, it becomes difficult to accurately see which zone you are looking at.

Feel free to suggest improvements to the weather display in the screen/ergo thread. All suggestions gratefully received.

in the old Eurpe Ablaze (an SSG game from the 80ies - very similar to bob/btr) you had 9 weather zones - each with clouds and wind!
