support movement

Post by godfather »

Am not sure how this works or what it is supposed to look like. E.G., I click on a brigade and the press S while clicking to another friendly controlled province that does not contain any other units and the unit moves there. Is it not supposed to wait until other units are already there? Or am i missing something?

You don't click on the other province when ordering a support move, after selecting the container, just hover the cursor over the province concerned and press S.

What you are seeing is the planned move not the actual move itself which doesn't occur until after the end turn button has been clicked when both sides then attempt to comply with all orders issued. To double check that the order has been given correctly click on the inspect orders box (the cream scroll in the row along the bottom of the control box for that container) and it should read "support x (province) - y(province)". Another quick way to check is that the movement arrow that appears if you go to order the unit to a further province will show a broken red line to the province where support is ordered instead of the usual solid arrow.
