I can... this year it will be released. Yep, 2010 is the year for Distant Worlds to be released to the general public. [:D]

I couldn't help it. [:D] I have been on the wondering side of so many games here at Matrix and seldom did I ever see a release date exposed by Erik. A few times yes, but they were rare. Only after hounding him would he finally say "maybe later this week if all goes well." [;)]

Seriously, I don't have a clue as to when but I do know this year. Month, I don't know. Really. [&:]

I do know this, it is a fun game and it is huge with lots to do and monitor. [8D]

I don't expect an exact date, but would like to know if we're looking at February, at least

One of the Matrix guys (probably Erik, but I don't remember for sure now) stated last month that Distant Worlds would probably be released sometime here in February, although that part of his post was later edited out.

Still, I suspect it won't be too much longer before the game is ready, as there's been a few hints dropped here and there that it's fairly close to completion. So if not this month, I would guess next month for sure.

I have to get into some personal details here. I and my entire family have been quite sick for a week (my son is on Day 8 with a fever). Dave's whole family has been sick at the same time and my main production assistant is also sick. The end result is that things have ground to a bit of a halt for a week here in terms of moving some things towards release. Should be back to normal shortly, but please keep that in mind when considering any time-sensitive comments from more than a week ago.

Sorry to hear that Erik.  Family comes first.  We'll still be here when you all get better.
