Approximate price?

Post by jfpOne23 »

Greetings Gents,

Can you give us an approximate price for the game? It might be buried in one of the other threads but I didn't see it.

Looks great and I hope it's as big and bold as it's now looking!

Cheers

Based on Matrix pricing for comparable new releases, I'm going to guess $39.99

This is what I paid for Armada 2526

Sub Total: 36,79 EUR
Tax: 6,70 EUR
Total: 43,49 EUR

A long way from 39.99$ USD

Armada thru Matrix with Hard copy cost me over $67 with shipping and a handling charge from Digital Rivers the D/L agent.

And the Retail copy I bought at Gamestop was $39.99 plus $2.80 tax. Turns out at that time I had bought the only retail copy in all of Western Illinois. I had to have it shipped in from Peoria and that took 2 weeks!

Its always great when most online stores start converting $ to € on a 1 to 1 ratio.

A lot of stores lately moved way past 1$:1E. Often you will find 1$:1.1E (like in example above, exactly) and more.

Our store prices are based on the actual conversion rates, updated roughly quarterly (latest update was mid-January when the holiday sale ended). By contract, due to the retail release we had to price Armada 2526's download price at the GameSpot retail price. Hence, the physical price is $10 more and that's why the conversion of the physical price to Euros ends up closer to seeming like a 1:1. For Distant Worlds, we have no such limitation. The pricing on Distant Worlds will be announced soon and more videos are also coming.

Well I predict that if you can wait till the DW comes out, you'll be fine. Ok, my charge is one DW game please.
