Global Domination again
New version with additional places, research bonus for weaker countries and reworked ship movement.
We will try to get the biggest possible # of players. I think we should allow AI regimes. ernie placed a lot of effort to make this game AI playable, but I would suggest use AI+ or even ++. In the event the majority of players want to have no AI, I offer myself to play Brazil, China and Ottoman Empire. If we allow AI players, I would like to take Brazil.

Put me down for a slot if you have one open. Not overly particular as to which, although I haven't tried this scenerio so for....so maybe one that isn't likely to get thrown too much to the wolves right at start [;)]

I'm in, like GM above, I've not yet played this mod so best not give me a pivotal role.

If you play multiple regimes, I would suggest joining them into one regime (do exec join regime) in round 1 so we limit the number of times the turn has to get passed around per round. If we have alot of players, we should have very firm committments on turn around as well. The group last game is great but it only takes 1. If a player is just playing Brazil, I might suggest including all of neutral central america into Brazil. That will give them a chance vs the juggernaut to the north.

RE: Global Domination again
As written before I would like tot take US.
Having AI+ is a good idea.

RE: Global Domination again
Right now, we have
RU
US - Rufus
GB
Ja
Ch
Ge - Tweber
Fr
Br
OE
Interest from Causi, Bombur, Jeff and GrumpyMel. I think 6 is a good number. I sent a mod of the scenario to Bombur that has action cards that allow you to make peace. Also threw in a few variants if there is interest. One is to combine CH, Br and the OE. I also removed the 250 VP win so we can play as long as there is interest. Would the other four like to sign up for sides?

RE: Global Domination again
I'll take GB or Russia, or any other as needed.
Furthermore, Carthage must be destroyed.
RE: Global Domination again
tweber mod will be now the standard version (however, I think we should keep the VP score to define who is the winner, even if we should increase the limit to, say, 300). I pointed to a small trouble with the creation of a Joint regime with China, OE and Brazil (we could call it the Non aligned). He must shift regime people to Russian or Japanese, otherwise this nation will be a tech leader....

No. We will upload it soon, however.
RE: Global Domination again
I sent Bombur the updated mod. Some things I did:
- Added a road network in China so it is not split in half by the Yangtze
- Added some torpedo boats for the French in Indochina and the US in the PI. They now have parity with the Brits in Singapore. This should make it more interesting to see how the DEI is split.
- Gave the Brits and French a cargo ship on the LatAm colonies. This should also make the Carribean more interesting.
- Added a 'Zimmerman Note' variant where Germany gets Mexico. Makes the US less isolated.
- Added a 'Au/Hu, Rom, Bulg' variant where Germany gets Austria Hungary, Russia gets Romania and the OE gets Bulgaria. This will make it more WWI like
- Gave Cuba to the US (historical)
- Added a variant that combines CH, BR and the OE. It makes an interesting 6th power with interests in many theaters. Probably will have alot of competition with the US and GB.
- I took out the 250 VP win. All the VP win does is automatically end the game at that point. We can agree to end the game if a player gets to this point, or keep playing if it is still interesting and the group feels the outcome is in doubt.
So, right now we have:
RU
US - Rufus
GB - Casus
Ja -
Ch, Br, OE -
Ge - Tweber
Fr
@ Jeffrey, Bombur and Grumpy Mel, would you like to pick a side?
There are 4 regimes and 3 players. I think FR and RU should be played by a person since Europe is pretty important. The AI would probably do a better job at Ch, BR, and OE than JA; so maybe we combine it and set it to AI+.

RE: Global Domination again
I would like to take France. We could set BR+CHI+OE to AI or keep the 3 regimes separated. While I liked tom´s changes, I would still keep the 3 regimes because ernie made lots of interesting events to trigger war with AI regimes. I would also be interested in see how the AI plays with AI+. The AI regimes round won´t take too many time, they will disappear sooner or latter. So, we could have
RU:
US: Rufus
GB: Casus
JA:
CH: AI+
OE: AI+
BR: AI+ (or CH+BR+OE: AI+)
FR: Bombur
GE: Tweber
So Jeff and Grumpy Mel could take Japan and Russia (of course they could play the three minors or one minor)
Another thing is what settings we should play. I´m for zimmerman note and Au/Rom/Bul on and CH+BR+OE off.

RE: Global Domination again
And btw, version F6 is ready to be downloaded in the community website
RE: Global Domination again
@Jeffrey,
Do you want to take Russia? If so, I think we can start. Grumpy Mel did not seem to be too particular.
You can pull the scenario off the bank, set CH, BR and OE to AI+ and select the Zimmerman note and Au/Hu, Rom and Bulg variants.

RE: Global Domination again
There is a small mistake in F6. Costs for Russian artillery II weren´t reduced. I will send Jeffery the corrected version. It´s a small mistake to justify another upload.

I guess that makes me Japan...which sounds like a pretty decent power to play for a new player to the scenerio. So all good here. You can send turns to sd.grumpymel@gmail.com
