1000x1000 map

Hey everyone, has anyone tried playing armada on a 1000x1000 map lol ?
I just created a random one on the game map editor and it looks really gigantic, i dont have the time to play that till the end but would like to know if someone tried it :)

It will have saving and processing issues later. The new update has temporarily removed the larger maps and limited them to 300x300 I think it is.
Wish list:population centers beyond planetary(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Culture):Ships,Ring Orbitals,Sphere Orbitals,Ringworlds,Sphereworlds;ability to create & destroy planets,population centers,stars;AI competently using all advances & features.

You can still make large maps in the editor. The thing is not to fill them up with too many stars though. The game starts to a bit slow and short of memory when you have more than a couple of thousand stars.

You can do interesting stuff though, such as making separate areas that can only be reached by wormholes, or making a nice galactic spiral with clearly defined arms where you can easily travel along the arm, but not between them.
