Did they spook your KB and made your carriers collide with each other too?

Me too, as the Allied. I´ve given up using them as they were 100% useless and I hate seeing the ship losses count going up for each of them, even if they aren´t worth anything in victory points.

I use mine in the Solomons and Marshalls to harass the small barges and patrol boats the AI uses in these areas.  They also draw LBA attacks, diverting them from the bigger ships in the area.

Well, apparently it's all about using them in the right place at the right time and then you still need copious amounts of luck, but that's the second AAR now that has shown them to be far from useless.

I love them. They rarely seem to sink anything but saved me repeatedly from a load of trouble.

In my game against the AI PT-Boats repelled several attacks against Canton Island without firing a single shot. I just sent them out against the enemy TF and they flee. Last time this happened the AI had Carrier in the invasion force and I had several fat, juicy fuel convois in the area shuttling fuel between the US and Australia.
While I scrambled to move my tankers out of the way of enemy air my PT-Boats made a brave attack against the enemy TF. No shots were fired but the TF turned around and left my tankers alone.

I just deployed a dozen PT-Boats to Milne bay to keep enemy fleets away from PM. And I will see if I can have some fun harassing enemy shipping at Buna and other places.

Sigh. To be completely accurate, they spooked two heavy cruisers and made them collide with each other, then one of the cruisers rammed a carrier. Sort of like a herd of elephants panicked by some mice and trampling each other in their rush to get away.

That picture is hilarious, Grollub. I actually did burst out laughing when I saw it.

Just sweep 'em with several escorting DD heavy escort forces. They're not so bad.

GrZ & Cuttlefish - thank you! [:D]

However, when I found out in the AAR section what had caused Miller such grief, I can understand his pain. [:(]
