Would a ingame year take a while to go by? ie. Galciv 2 if it wasn't turn-based, or can months go by in a few seconds/minutes?

That's about how fast my months go by....about a month a minute....the older you get the faster time flies....maybe it's because us Golden Agers are having so much fun.....

Anyone know how much game will slowdown when all empires grow a (fair) bit with plenty of ships and so on?

I hope it won't be as slow as for example Supreme Ruler 2020 or titles from HOI family. All is fine until AI start spammmming units. Then game turn into a turtle.
