Some Answers to Frequently Asked Question

Post by Erik Rutins »

1. When/where will DW be available?

We expect it to be available either late today or tomorrow, based on US time. We don't know yet exactly when as it depends on how long the final store QA takes.

2. How much will DW cost?

The price in US dollars is $39.99 for the Download, $49.99 for the Physical copy. For those who want the physical copy, we recommend the "digital + physical" option which lets you get the download now while the physical copy is shipped to you, same cost as physical copy only.

3. What's this "download insurance"?

This is a small additional fee we are required to add to the shopping cart by Digital River. You are free to remove it. Its purpose is to cover the cost of re-downloads for Digital River and it officially allows you to re-download up to two years after the initial purchase. Otherwise, you officially have 30 days to download. In reality, if you have any issue with re-downloading, just contact us through our Help Desk and we'll take care of it. The main instance where this would be of assistance is if you were unable to reach us or we were unable to assist you, then this would cover your bases with Digital River.

Thank you for this post, Erik.

If I may ask: After what time this afternoon, if the game hasn't been released, will we know that it will be a tomorrow release? Without knowing what time DR staff goes home, I'll be checking the forums and Matrix's site every 5-10 minutes way late into the night.

Thanks for your time.

The latest possible release time (for today, assuming it doesn't end up releasing tomorrow) would be around 5PM US Central time today.

Ok, thank you Erik. I guess, if it doesn't come out today, I'll get some sleep tonight after all.

One more bit of news, it turns out we will have a small "at release update". It's too late to update the master, but we found a few last minute bugs that had crept into one of the final builds and needed fixing. The main issue suddenly prevented the Zenox and Quameno from working properly, which was quite a shock when we discovered that last night.

In any case, when you get the game, please remember to update it immediately (you can just use the "Check for Updates" link in the game menu) so that you are up to the latest version and apologies in advance for any inconvenience.

I think you should pull back the master to fix the bugs and delay release until next week just so we can all enjoy the reaction when you do.[:D]

Will DW be available for all countries? I live in Belgium you see. ;)

EDIT: Just saw the "Europe" section on the product page. Disregard my post. I will be getting the game tomorrow. Everyone currently downloading and playing, enjoy!

Hi guys, you jumped the gun a bit before all the "Buy Now" links were setup. Everything should be there now and if you are somewhere other than those links, go to our store main page and just choose the rest of the world link, then new releases.
