With this week's blizzard...which sadly turned to rain...the mighty Soviet army launched a series of counterstrokes against the Fascist enemy who is ably led by Generalfeldmarschall von Techex.
Two successes in the Moscow region have lightened the pressure on the heart of the Rodina, and proven that the Red army can take on the mighty Panzers on equal terms.
To ensure further successes, Comrade Stalin has ordered that to each battalion be added a follow-up squad of NKVD troops armed with heavy maxim machineguns on wheeled carriages accompanied by a few men with ppSh 43's. These 'specialist' troops will 'encourage' the regular sovjet infantry by their presence. However, frontline doctors are curious about wounded soldiers being found face-down in the snow with 7.62mm (russian) wounds in their chests, and 7.92mm Mauser wounds in their backs.
In a reply to a query written by frontline physician Zugazchev, regarding multiple wounds from enemy and our fire, Comrade Stalin has issued Order 219 which states:

"All soldiers found to have 7.62mm and 7.63mm (?) are guilty of self-inflicted wunds, and are therefore Fascist sympathisers and traitorus malingerers. All are to be denied medical care, and turned over to the NKVD. To ensure that this trend is to be curbed, all relatives to these scum will be sent to Siberia for rehabilitation"

General VAtutin, Zhukov's replacement, was unavailable for comment, though his valet, NKVD Major Tschitzagov reread the order for those of us who are challenged in the fine art of understanding.

General Malinovskii, commanding the Southern Front had no explanation for his failure to relieve Rostov this week. So Comrade Stalin has despatched a follow-up squad for each Company of Southern FRont
Jesus ...., with all respect. This closet germanism is allways killing me.
