Save Game Files

Where did you put the Saved Game files? They aren't in the DW folder. I want to delete the missteps I've done so far and can't find a Save Game Folder. I tried to locate them from the Find File locator and when it appears that file is hidden, I have no idea why, I tried to delete them from there.

That took them off the locator but not out of the game.

I've got a new computer and it is running Windows 7.

I'm finding it easier to just use the "Load game" in the Distant Worlds game. It will open the folder you need.

BUT if you still want to get to it from the desktop then go in the game and select "load game" At the top of the window you will see the address "Distant Worlds > 1.0.2.0 > SaveGame" Right click "Distant Worlds" then select "copy address" Now Press "alt" then tab until your small Desktop preview is selected and that will take you from the game and to the desktop Right click on the desktop and select "paste shortcut"

Now you have a shortcut to the save game area. Since patching will create more sub folders like 1.0.2.0 it will put save games into those sub folders.

I could care less about opening them at all. I want to DELETE them.

in win 7 my saves are in:

c\users\sanderz\AppData\Roaming\Code Force Limited\Distant Worlds\1.0.2.0\savedgames

it sets up a new directory for each patch so you should also have a 1.0.1.0 dir as well

Those folders were hidden. I just had to unhide them and now they are gone.

Were you able to find your saves? The new version added a new save folder for its saves, but your old saves were still there, you just have to navigate one folder down and then choose the older version save folder.
