After an another week of rain and two of blizzards, the mighty Red Juggernaut sputters and coughs it's way forward. The German defense is stiff, with many units holding out against great odds, obviously motivated by Herr von Techex's genius for war, and the promise of woolen lederhosen.
The Soviet troops, so long deprived of success due to seditious elements within the army have finally succeeded in a major coup(I hate French words, because I'm rarely certain), capturing 20,000 Fascists in a pocket south of Moscow.
General Malinovskii is still a bit apprehensive. He has built a trap east of Rostov containing an estimated 90,000 Fascisti, but despite the motivating 'exhortations' of the follow-up squads within his divisions, the pocket refuses to be crushed.
In the Kharkov and Orel Front areas, the pace of the advance has outrun the capabilities of local rail...without finding any Germans.
Likewise is the same of Leningrad Front.
In front of Moscow, the battles have been the most severe, and the ground most contested...the advance continues.

Preuss, there are no woollen Lederhosen, because they wouldn't be Lederhosen (leather trousers).
Seems to be another hollow promise from the German leadership.
