Looking for PBEM with Reliable Partner

Post by dgaad »

Hi folks.

I must say I'm rather disappointed that I haven't had many offers for a PBEM game. So, I'm putting my request for opponents in a separate thread.

I like to play the US

Would like to do at least 1 turn per day on average (less during weekdays, more during weekends).

I am willing to play scenario 17 as the US player.

All historical settings must be used. Ship commitment levels totally normal for all sides.

I play with manual sub control, but you can do what you want so long as the doctrine setting is historical.

I'd like to do a public AAR in the form of news reports that may or may not be accurate, just like they were historically. A private AAR may be kept and published on the forum when the game is over.

Okay guys, I've gotton several responses for games from good people. I can't play as many games as I've gotton responses for.

I currently have 2 games going against Mitch, and targetaf frassetta. Anyone other than these two people who have sent a game or request will need to re-send the game or request in line with the following :

I only desire to play scenario 17 on the US side. I prefer to do an AAR along the lines of the one I have going with Mitch (News Reports, etc), but that is not a requirement.

We must play with ALL historical settings, and HUMAN sub control.

I want to execute at least 7 turns a week, preferably about twice that.

I will also consider the scenario that starts a little later but which includes the effects of Midway (cant remember the number of that one).

If you get the idea that I am a control freak, who likes to simulate history and use all the forces historically at the disposal of commanders, you're right!!! This might not be for you.

I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused some of you that responded. I was not clear in my above post -- I also did not understand the effects of computer sub control.

I should also mention that Wilhammer and I are planning to do a game with multiple AARs, one of which will focus on gameplay issues good and bad, by way of helping Matrix figure out what works and what doesn't. However, I'm still waiting for Wil to send me his first Japanese turn in the big scenario 17!

C'mon Will!
