1.04 Beta 2 Recurring ProcMn Error

Error code recurring in 1.04 beta 2. Occurance seems to be linked to custom designing ships and bases but not enough play time to be sure.

Error Code: ProcMn

System Null Reference Exception object Reference Not set to an instnace of an object

at DistantWorlds.Type.BuiltObject.execute commands (galaxy galaxy, Double time passed DateTime time) at DstiantWorlds.Type.BuildObject.DoTask (DateTime time, Boolean inView) at DistantWorlds.Main.ProcessMain (DateTime time, (BuiltObjects List built objects, inView) atDistantWorlds.Main Program Loops ()

Just played for five hours with auto design on and no customizing of ships and bases and no crash. Happens regularly when I have self designed ships and bases. Seems to relate to self design.

the common error seems to be linked to object type DateTime. It seems the variable was not initialized properly (if at all) and any functions that refer to it failed as a result.

Started a new game in 1.04b2 and in few minutes got the same crash ([:(]) while ordering a selected ship to patrol a mining station (default action). Not sure if this is connected to patrol though.

Just got the same error as above on a 1.0.4b2 game while trying to redirect 2 ships that were part of a Fleet to a new location on galaxy map. Rest of Fleet had been sent to nearest Space yard for refit.

Ps had hit the print screen key but couldn't find the pic.

when u hit print screen u have to open an image processor like paint and paste it (crtl + v) in. It doesnt save images by default.

Yes i am eventually getting this on a recurring basis even when I make no custom designs. The game is at this point basiscally broken. I can only hope their next release fixes this. Tis is a great game and is currently unplayable.

Please note that 1.0.4 Beta is a Beta release. If you want more stability, please give the official 1.0.3 update a try. We are working to get all these remaining 1.0.4 issues sorted out before it becomes an official release and we very much appreciate the reports and saves.

How do you revert back to 1.0.3? Re-install that patch and it overwrites 1.0.4?

No problem Erik. It is a great game and I understand the need to mass beta something with this many variables. I keep trying to find a consistent pattern to triggering this error.

Thanks for that report. This crash has been fixed in beta3 which should be available in the next day or two.
