cant get into multiplayer

Post by nrsteel »

I can't get into multiplayer. I click on multiplayer and it says;

sorry, could not connect
reason; serial number not registered (code 5)

I installed FOG and ROR and the patches, including 1.2.5 and yes, all of the games are registered under nrsteel@yahoo

what might the problem be?

oh, and i did turn off my Anti virus and my software firewall just to check...... no difference.

Can you mail info@slitherine.co.uk with your Slitherine username and serial number for the various products and we'll investigate.

Note you need a Slitherine username not your Matrix one to use the multiplayer server.

For anyone having this problem it is because of a bug in the client. We will fix it ASAP but a work around for now is to manually register your serial numbers on the following link:

http://www.slitherine.com/register_serial.php

You need to use your Slitherine username and password and select the game you want to register and then add your serial number.

Sorry for any inconvenience but this will get you going and we'll fix the bug in the client in the next patch.

Thanks..... That works.....

Now all you have to do is add direct peer to peer network games.  After all, if you guys ever go belly up, the network games will go with you.
