Babes Lite concern

Post by oldman45 »

Really couldn't think of a better title.

I installed and ran my first turn of Lite03 and it took 28 minutes for the AI to do its turn. I am wondering if anybody else saw an increase in the processing time and map movement speed. I realize it might be my box or perhaps i need to do a reinstall.

thanks

O.O

That ammount of time is... unusual. I run Lite03 in a Centrino Duo machine, with an oldish video card, and no way it takes 28 minutes to do a turn... maybe 5...

Hold on... do you have combat animations on? That does add a lot of time to a turn.

For me it takes the same length as vanilla.

No animations only the summery i can pull up at the end. I have 3gig of ram and fair vid card. I have an intel chip 2.8ghz. I know an upgrade is do but..... its works good on the other applications so I have not been in a hurry to upgrade.

I have the same time as vanilla WITP AE. Babes Lite is working fine (for me).
The older I get, the better I was.

Mine runs just like Vanilla also. I would try the reinstall.

I agree on the reinstall... I have a 1.83 GHz chip, 2 GB of RAM, and an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400... nothing to speak about, and yet it works well.

Possibile sources of delays:

- Too high a resolution.
- Windowed mode.
- Too many programs open.
- Concurrent downloads or other background processes.

If you have none of those, I'd reinstall.

I found some mistakes I made while modding and I think that created some issues. That said, I decided to reinstall. The last patch for AE stated that it brought the game up to date and it was the only patch i needed. so does the patch 03 for Da Babes lite do the same thing, ie I don't need to install all of the previous babes patches?

Thanks
