I had just seen this and was coming over to post it myself. Very interesting!

Interesting

Probably not much left other than the metal parts, the weapons and a couple of V-12 engines. Didn't the Pt's use de-rated Allisons?

Ballard needs to go back to Midway and find the Japanese carriers, or finish his look in Iron Bottom.

"The late president's brother, Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, a Massachusetts Democrat, and daughter, Caroline Kennedy, agreed to the expedition after being assured that the site would not be disturbed."

What OTHER dark family secret are they trying to hide? :)

Seriously, ever hear of Addison's Disease?

Go post this in the Art of Wargaming forum, and you will get replies like this:

Probably hiding the evidence of Jack's malformed, but cojoined twin brother. The Japs were trying to remove it with their DD when the operation went horribly wrong, and the PT boat was lost.

Marilyn uncovered the truth, that's why she was silenced by Bobby.

Ballard should film the Jutland wrecks.

Post by Ron Saueracker »

Unfortunately, the wrecks are in shallowish water and many have been dived so the chances of Ballard bothering are slim.

I've yet to see the special on the HOOD, as well. The Japs have found Yamato, and Tamiya has made a detailed diorama of it...what a mess.

More Ironbottom Sound wrecks would be interesting, for sure.

Who really gives a crap if PT 109 is found. What a waste of time. If JFK did not have such a "nice" head of hair, PT 109 would not rate the history books.
